Establishment of SMART Recalculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) and Fish Feed mill named Monmi Agro Limited This RAS project was designed specifically for Shrimp, Coral, Shing and Deshi Magur Catfish, with Pabda and Gulsha Tengra strains & its supplement of project feed to tank use and also for Sell also being tested in this project. This Bioscience filtration technology can be modified for all types of fin fish and shrimp. It is already in use in Bangladesh, Recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS) represent a new and unique way to farm fish. These systems are used all around the world for the production of many fish species in a more efficient controlled environment. Currently RAS is one of the fastest growing sectors of agriculture in Bangladesh. Growing public demand for a healthy, tasty and affordable fish is stimulating the "boom" in RAS industry. RAS offer fish producers a variety of important advantages over open pond culture. These include a method to maximize production on a limited supply of water and land, nearly complete environmental control to maximize fish growth year-round, the flexibility to locate production facilities near large markets, complete and convenient harvesting, and quick and effective disease control.
